| Which we use | The table below is the authoritative list of cookies set by slot-ornado.com. First-party cookies are owned by this site. Third-party cookies are set by services we have embedded (analytics counter, affiliate tracker). The age-gate cookie is strictly necessary — the site will re-ask the question every page without it.

| What cookies are | A cookie is a tiny key-value pair that your browser stores on behalf of a website so the site can remember something between page loads. "First-party" means the cookie is set by the site in the address bar — in our case slot-ornado.com. "Third-party" means it is set by another service whose code runs on the page. Modern browsers increasingly block third-party cookies by default (Safari and Firefox block most, Chrome is phasing them out); if your browser is doing that, the attribution cookie set at /claim/ never reaches the operator's network and the referral is dropped. That is a loss for us, not for you — the review you read is not affected. Browsers also distinguish between "session" cookies, which disappear when you close the tab, and "persistent" cookies, which stay on your device until their lifetime expires or you delete them. The age-gate and language cookies on slot-ornado.com are persistent (so you do not re-answer the age question every visit). The analytics session cookie is a 30-minute cookie — long enough to group pages viewed in one visit, short enough that two separate sessions on the same day are not merged into a false "long visit". A cookie banner is not the same as cookie consent. The banner at the top of slot-ornado.com on first visit explains what is set and offers a one-click opt-out for the analytics counter. We do not set non-essential cookies before you have interacted with the banner — the analytics script is lazy-loaded only after a decision is recorded in a session flag. Strictly necessary cookies (the age-gate, the language preference) do not require consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(f) or PIPEDA equivalents because they implement a feature you asked for. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Analytics | We run self-hosted Matomo-compatible analytics with these privacy settings turned on: IP addresses truncated to the first two octets within one hour, "do not track" headers honoured, user profiles disabled, no cross-site tracking, data retention capped at 13 months. The analytics counter does not share data with the operator or any ad network. We use it to count how many people read a review and whether people found the page helpful (which internal link got clicked), not to profile individuals. A worked example of what the analytics counter does and does not see. A reader in Vancouver visits /bonuses/, scrolls to the bottom, clicks the welcome-bonus card, lands on /claim/, and from there is redirected to the operator. The analytics counter records: the IP address 198.51.100.x (last two octets zeroed after one hour), a browser fingerprint derived from user-agent and accepted languages (used only to compute the "mobile vs desktop" split), the path /bonuses/, the referrer (if any), the click on the welcome card (as an outbound-link event), and the time between page load and click. It does not see: your name, your e-mail, which operator account you later open, or how much you deposit. The operator's affiliate network sees the click arriving from slot-ornado.com and attributes a 30-day cookie — again, with no personal identifiers until you register at the operator. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Retention | First-party cookies expire on the schedule in the table. Analytics raw rows are deleted after 13 months; aggregated monthly counters are kept for comparison with earlier years. The affiliate cookie set at /claim/ lives for 30 days on the operator's side; after that, any registration you make will not be attributed to this site, which does not change your access to the operator's bonus but does mean we earn no commission. You can delete every cookie from this domain in two clicks in any modern browser's settings panel; look for "Cookies and site data" and search for slot-ornado.com. What happens if you ask us to delete your data. If you have never written to us, there is almost nothing to delete — the analytics rows are truncated and cannot be reconnected to a specific device after the one-hour window. Cookies live on your device, not on our servers; you delete those in your browser settings and we have no record that they existed. If you have written to us, your e-mail address and the mail body sit in [email protected]'s mailbox; a deletion request addressed to that inbox will purge the thread from the primary mailbox and from any archive within thirty days (we keep a short retention window because complaints sometimes need to be reopened). Analytics opt-out. The on-page banner has a toggle labelled "Count my visit anonymously / do not count my visit". The second choice stops the analytics script from loading on all pages of slot-ornado.com for 365 days, enforced by a dedicated cookie called `so_track_off`. Clearing cookies also clears this flag; set it again on your next visit if you want it to persist. |
